“The City” Free Concert Night | SF

“The City” is a free live concert series taking place at different locations in San Francisco each month.

They often offer free drinks and music raffles, so check each event for details. An RSVP is always required to get in to this party.

Curious Quail and The Soonest will be performing live at The City: SF Sounds’ next event at Thee Parkside.

Free, but an RSVP on Facebook is required.

Curious Quail began as a one- man DIY project mixing chiptunes, guitar driven rock and orchestral arrangements. Influenced heavily by the fuzzy alternative guitar sound of the ’90s, and both retro and modern video game soundtracks, 2009’s The GLOW Ep painted a picture of one man, his guitar and his technology.

The Soonest‘s music grows with every listen. The San Francisco quintet, comprised of members Young Lee (guitars/vocals), Andrew Wales (drums), Alex Stack (bass), Mark Quitevis (guitar), and CJ Bergmen (keys/guitar/vocals) started as a side project that quickly turned into a full band as they discovered their sound which has been described as rich and haunting and has been compared to bands such as The National, Bloc Party, and Arcade Fire.
