Disco, Italo & Funk DJ Dance Party | SF

On Thursday, August 14, 2014, the Disco Research Institute reconvenes. Lecture curators DJ Freshstep and Niklas begin amplified dissertation at 9 pm.

Panel topics include:

• Divas and Divos: female and male vocalists in the sexual revolution
• Disco Sucks: the death and resurrection of dance music in the early 1980s
• Decks + Laptops + Effects, or, how I learned to stop worrying about the medium and love the message: an end to the vinyl vs. digital debate

Please note, we believe the organizers have their tongue planted firmly in their cheek, and this is a fun DJ dance party, not an actual lecture.
