Event Details

Deb Olin Unferth talks about her new book Revolution: The Year I Fell in Love and Went to Join the War. This is a memoir that is both heartfelt and hilarious.

The author followed her boyfriend to Central America to “help foment” a revolution. Despite their earnest commitment to a myriad of revolutionary causes and to each other, the couple found themselves unwanted, unhelpful, and unprepared for Central America in 1987.

She is joined here by Michelle Tea, the author of four memoirs, a collection of poetry and the novel Rose of No Man’s Land. She is the founder of the literary organization RADAR Productions, which presents a monthly performance series, the international Sister Spit tour and the annual Radar LAB writers retreat.
