Stymie & the Pimp Jones Luv Orchestra with Swoop Unite

• A whole night of big band funk and soul
• Thursday, January 14th, 8p – $10 door

The 14-piece band’s instrumentation and presentation recalls classic funk groups like Funkadelic and Sly and the Family Stone while maintaining an energy all their own that throws audiences into a frenzy. But unlike most groups who aim for the classic 70s sound, S&PJLO play no covers; instead incorporating elements of rock, jazz, hip-hop, pop, reggae, Latin, and gospel, into soulful, socially conscious originals.
