Artist-Made Clay Kayak Launch | Crissy Field

After sunrise (around 7 am) on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Crissy Field you can come out to watch the inaugural Creativity Explored Artist-in-Residence, Joe McGovern paddle his 12-foot kayak made entirely of unfired clay towards the Golden Gate Bridge until it disintegrates.

In addition to filming the performance via drone, Joe will also record the sound of the clay hissing as the 300 lb kayak dissovles. After the performance, Joe will compile a video of his journey for potential film screenings. Please stay tuned for more information.
