Eric Berkowitz presents The Boundaries of Desire his newest exploration into the evolution of sex and follow-up to the best-seller Sex and Punishment: Four Thousand Years of Judging Desire. Basically, there’s nothing new in sex. All the various acts have been practiced in mostly the same ways since the beginning, but our ideas about the meanings, consequences, and laws around sex are in constant flux.

Berkowitz focuses on the compelling human element in impersonal legal battles and rallies against oversimplified, catch-all conclusions.
