Original Famous Twang Sundays is a free, all-ages concert series at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill.

Come by every Sunday; there’s always a fresh traditional or contemporary live act and a surprise special to purchase from the kitchen.

Sunday, July 19th Original Famous Twang Sundays welcomes The Muddy Roses and The P’s & Q’s to Thee Parkside.

You can’t make a flower grow without getting your hands dirty. This philosophy drives the sound of The Muddy Roses and it’s that beautiful balance of grit and grace that is captivating audiences around San Francisco and quickly making this new and upcoming band a local Americana favorite. The band, led by guitarist and songwriter, John LoGiudici, infuses classic country and honky tonk with elements of blues, bluegrass, gospel, and jam to create a unique and dynamic sound that keeps crowds engaged and intrigued.

The P’s & Q’s are an old-time, good-time, acoustic porch music act from San Francisco, with Brie McFarland (P) on banjo, ukelele, and all manner of instruments, Janese Hurley (Q) on fiddle and harmonica, and Audrey Howard (&) on guitar. The three of them sing sweet harmonies together which have become a trademark of the band. The group has wrangled James Touzel on upright bass and Beth Robinson on drums to complete the package. Keep an eye out for the band’s full-length release, “Tears, Turquoise & Tin”on iTunes. The P’s & Q’s put on a rousing live show which is by turns boot-stomping and sweetly intimate.
