A new, SF-based outdoors non-profit is hosting its launch party on August 22, 2015 at Sports Basement in the Mission. Inspire by Campfire is an project that is aiming to go to all 59 US National Parks in one year, creating a podcast, blog, and social media following along the way to inspire a new and diverse generation of people passionate about the outdoors.
Free, but an Eventbrite RSVP guarantees entry. Also this is a fundraiser, so donations are encouraged and appreciated.
Come to their project launch party and fundraiser at Sports Basement, where we will have a raffle for some swag, as well as all attendees getting 10% off throughout the store during the event, free drinks (beer and sodas), and snacks. They’re also going to have a “storytelling booth” where you can recount your favorite tale about the outdoors — in 2 minutes or less — which they’ll use on the podcast.
