Event Details

Manna Gallery is pleased to present “Earth Branch Bloom”, an exhibition of works by Dan Weber. Dan’s mixed media will be on view from September 25 to October 31, 2015. A reception for Dan will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 2 to 4 pm, when he will be present to greet gallery visitors and discuss his newest work.

Influenced by the ceramics of Asian American sculptor Isamu Noguchi and Japanese Ikebana master Sofu Teshigahara, Oakland sculptor Dan Weber has created a series of Ikebana inspired hand built unglazed containers filled with flora formed by molding maple veneers into the shape of reeds, branches and willowy flowers. It is the hope that these flower filled vessels instill a sense of stillness and calm in the viewer’s mind.
