Event Details

4th Street Fine Art is pleased to present a group exhibition of outstanding new works from 27 San Francisco Bay Area artists. This juried exhibit will open November 11, 2015 and run through January 11, 2016.

The artists will be present at the opening reception on Saturday, November 14 from 5 – 8pm. Live music will be performed by New Jazz Review.

SOLSTICE is connected with the seasons, a passage from one to another. As turning points, the SOLSTICE stops the sun from falling or rising higher in the sky, and the days get longer or shorter. The light changes, and the trees change from green to autumnal color. In urban language, SOLSTICE means excellent or all around amazing. The member artists and guest artists participating in this show each have a unique way of interpreting and celebrating the Winter Solstice and holiday season. These 27 artists use the mediums of printmaking, painting, fiber, collage and jewelry design to illuminate their interpretation of SOLSTICE.
