Athletic PlayGround: Parkour Class
Parkour is the art of viewing the world as a giant obstacle course to be navigated for fun and function. We practice Parkour indoors using mats and blocks to learn the moves and tricks safely, preparing your body and mind to play wherever you are.
– Athletic PlayGround, 4770 San Pablo Avenue, Unit E in Emeryville
12 pm – 5 pm
Open Studio and Free Dance Photography
Rapt Productions will open our video production studio/office for the day and invite dancers to come by for free, first-come/first-serve dance photo shoots. We’ll set up a seamless backdrop and lighting and send you home with a CD of professional head shots and dance photos.
– Rapt Production Studios, 470 25th Street in Oakland
8:15 pm – 9:00 pm
Introduction to Poi Fire Dancing
Forget the admonishment to not play with fire — Come join us & begin the journey of fire dancing safely. No fire tonight, just poi you might light on fire after you’re safely aware of how to manipulate them.
