Discover the Hidden Staircases of the Castro while working your way up to Twin Peaks to see the sunrise come up over the Oakland Hills. Join Aaron Dence, certified exercise physiologist, WALK SF walk leader, and adventurer as he leads you on an adventurous 2.5 mile hike through Eureka Valley.

You will reach the summit at 7am and catch the spectacular sunrise at 7:16am. Along the way, explore secret staircases and little-known cement slides, hike through local parks and natural spaces, and enjoy incredible views of the city. It will be fun, challenging and a locally informative walk.

Review these tips before you RSVP

• Walk includes stair climbing, several paths and multiple elevation changes; rated a 3.8 out of 5 in difficulty
• Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes w/ good treads (700 feet in total elevation)
• Carry raingear and hat as needed – we will go ahead rain or shine, barring high winds or dangerous weather conditions
• Bring sunblock, water, and personal snacks
• Please arrive promptly at 5:30 a.m. to sign in
