Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF
Opera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or an elitist art form, by bringing it to bars.
Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Buddy the Elf said, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear” and we agree (though we think it’s the best way to spread cheer period). Opera on Tap San Francisco invite you to spread some cheer at this fun evening of opera arias and holiday tunes.
Have a request? Find them on Facebook and comment with your request and they will do their best to add it to the program. Maggie McGarry’s is having Karaoke after starting at 9 pm so come warm up with them and then take the spotlight yourself.
