“You love them. You mock them. But one thing you can’t do is stop watching them. Yes, we’re talking about Internet cat videos. Which either represent the pinnacle of human creative achievement, or a sign that the apocalypse is nigh. Or both.”
—Los Angeles Times
Organized by the Walker Art Center, the Internet Cat Video Festival is an offline celebration of online cat videos. Curated by Will Braden, the creator of the Henri Le Chat Noir videos, this all-new program contains everything from six second Vine videos to short dramas and documentaries – over 100 videos in all. Join your fellow cat lovers for this celebration of hilarious, odd, and downright adorable videos (2015, 90 min, digital). The Festival takes place on Thursday, 1/21, plus on Saturday and Sunday, 1/23-24.
Win a pair of tickets for the 2 pm screening on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
The event features cat themed beverages, as well as activities with Chronicle Books and the Cat Museum of San Francisco. Plus, enjoy same-day gallery admission with your YBCA Performance or Film ticket.
