Yoga on the Labyrinth
Too many yoga classes are like slow forms of Pilate: meant only as physical exercise. If you want something far more contemplative, closer to yoga’s original spiritual nature, come to Yoga on the Labyrinth Tuesday nights inside Grace Cathedral.
Yoga teacher Darren Main incorporates live music into the practice, adding relaxing ambiance to top the beautiful inlaid labyrinth on the stone floor and stained-glass windows of the cathedral.

Live music for ambiance: The teacher Darren Main feels that by adding a live musical guest, it’s easier to get into a deeper state of meditation and relaxation. Five different New Age musicians play their forte: Indian chanting, harps & chanting, bamboo flutes, singing bowls & native instruments. Upcoming schedule of musicians.

What is an appropriate donation? Here’s what they said:
If you have a little extra, please give a little more. If times are financially difficult, please contribute only what feels comfortable to you. As a general guide only, the drop-in rate for a yoga class at most yoga studios in San Francisco is between $15 and $20 dollars, however no one is ever turned away because of money.
