Juan Thompson’s memoir Stories I Tell Myself: Growing Up with Hunter S. Thompson captures the adventurous, electric, anger-ridden, and drug-fueled tales of being the only son of a literary legend.
From living in an old farmhouse in a narrow mountain valley in Colorado, to riding the dusty dirt roads on the back of a motorcycle, to a childhood in bars and roaming around Hells Angels parties, Juan Thompson writes about the many separations and reconciliations during forty-one fraught years with his father.
