Event Details

Come join in celebrating the launch of Ariel Waldman’s first book, What’s It Like in Space? and to celebrate the anniversary of 55 years since the first human ventured into space! On April 12, 1961, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space, kicking off new era for humanity.

They’re hosting the dual celebration at Betabrand HQ, the makers of that really cool NASA-inspired space jacket. They’ll have a space-tastic photo backdrop and green screen in place for the perfect space selfies (this is definitely an event to rock your best space-inspired outfits at) as well as refreshments/snacks.

Ariel Waldman will be on site to share some funny/gross stories about what it’s like in space, as well as sign books, which you can pre-order or purchase at the event.
