Come to the Main library for a showing of “The Atomic Cafe” on November 16th at 5:30pm. This will be followed with a Q & A with director, Jayne Loader.

The “Atomic Cafe” has been described by the NYTimes as “a 1982 assemblage that tells the history of America’s decades as a nuclear power exclusively through news clips, military training films, commercials and educational reels; in this context, the repurposed snippets seem at once alarmingly blunt and utterly surreal.”
