Get an introduction to electronics by learning how to solder and make simple circuits to create your own contact mics, which are simple microphones that pick up vibrations when they are attached to an electric guitar pick-up. Contact mics are a cheap, simple way to create your own electronic instruments out of found objects for various artistic or musical purposes.
There’s a $10 materials fee, but bring any soldering irons, smalls guitar amps and effects pedals you may have, and keep what you make by the end of class.
