“Fast Times at Ridgemont High” Film, Beer & Ice Cream | Balboa Theater

Normally we don’t post events this costly on Funcheap but with a classic film, unique beer tasting and ice cream it seems awesome to us at $25 and definitely worth the splurge

Celebrate SF Beer Week with Anchor Brewing and San Franpsycho at the historic Balboa Theatre. Join for a unique, one-night-only film and beer pairing event featuring Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Tickets are SOLD OUT. $25 ticket includes the film, 3 beer tickets, pizza from The Pizza Place, and ice cream from Humphry Slocombe.

• Beer selection to include 3 unique one-time-only beers inspired by the movie:
  • Tasty Waves IPA: A super dank Spicoli-style IPA dry-hopped with Ahtanum, El Dorado and an experimental hop variety to give this beer a perfect blend of “tasty waves and a cool buzz.”
  • Kill Lincoln Lager: A crisp lager aged on blood oranges and honey with a touch of sweetness and a glorious citrus aroma. This beer goes perfectly with linguini & clam sauce as part of Damone’s 5-point plan.
  • Zwickoli: Unfiltered Dry-Hopped Steam Beer is the ultimate California “zwickle-bier.” This tasty California Common is bursting with bright fruity hops and goes great with an in-class pizza.
• Anchor will also be featuring Blackberry Daze IPA (new), Liberty IPA (new) and Anchor Steam Beer.
• San Franpsycho will be onsite releasing the first print from their 2017 Spring/Summer line. Their new line is inspired by 80’s pop culture and ocean vibes, aligning perfectly with the event’s film. San Franpsycho will also be live printing free posters. Bring a light colored garment to have the poster art printed on a shirt.
• Before the movie grab a tasty slice of pizza provided by The Pizza Place.
• After the film Humphry Slocombe will be onsite serving its delicious Anchor Steam ice cream – try it on its own or create a beer float.

Happy Hour is 6:30-7:30 pm. Film starts promptly at 7:30 pm.
