Event Details

Explore the relationship between architecture, acoustics, and the live performance experience at a panel featuring architects and musicians, as a part of the SF Public Library’s “American Sabor” exhibit.

Panelists include architect Marc Cavagnero, whose projects include the new SFJAZZ building; Kurt Graffy, Associate Principal at ARUP’s acoustics lab; five-time Grammy nominated musician and producer; Wayne Wallace; and moderator, John King of the San Francisco Chronicle.  A brief audience Q & A will follow the panel discussion.

About “American Sabor”
Everything from samba to salsa will be covered in “American Sabor,” an exhibition on Latinos in U.S. Popular Music in the Skylight Gallery of the SF Main Library from Saturday, August 27 through Sunday, November 13. In support of this traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, the library will also be hosting a series of free music, dance, film and lectures, all in the spirit of celebrating the true flavor of Latin music in the United States.
