Event Details

Market Street Gallery is pleased to present Jubilation, an exhibition showcasing a special installation of encaustic works by Cari Hernandez exploring faith, courage, joy, and pleasure. The exhibit will open September 2, 2011, and run through September 30, 2011. The artist reception will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, from 6 PM – 8 PM.

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. Cari often brings fiber, paper, photography, and other mediums together with encaustic, as there is a unique synergy when mingled.
