The middle of May is set aside for National Salvation Army Week (NSAW), a week proclaimed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954 to honor the work of the Army.
Join them for a symbolic homeless feeding illustrating that The Salvation Army Harbor Light Homeless Outreach Program serves 24,000 homeless people annually.
On a first come first served basis, the public can enjoy free doughnuts and coffee via The Salvation Army canteen/mobile kitchen parked near the corner of Pine and Davis Streets near Market Street on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 7 am to 9 am.
