Gearing up for the 2011 NFL season kickoff and feel like you have the sixth sense it takes to pick the winners?

Two local SF dives, the Northstar or Shanghai Kelly’s, are challenging you to pick the winners each week in this free-to-enter online “Shallow End Pool”

There’s no point spread bullsh*t, this is straight-up pick your winners and crush your competition to take home your prizes:
– Weekly Winner’s Prize – $50 Gift Certificate
– Annual Winner’s Prize – $100 restaurant feast & $50 booze certificate

The season kicks off on September 8th with the Green Bay Packers vs. the New Orleans Saints at 5:30p, so make your picks, and pull up a stool at Kelly’s or Northstar and see if you’ve got what it takes to be the next Jimmy the Greek (minus being a complete racist, of course)

-Shanghai Kelly’s (2064 Polk St., SF)

-New Player Instructions
1) Register with CBSSports.com, where you’ll get a username and password.
2) Then go to the online pool, bookmark it, log in and make your weekly picks (using the pool password “northstar”)

No need to sign up again if you did it last year, but if you’re new to the pool, just follow the registration instructions below to get started.

-Rules

• There are no point spreads.
• You earn one point per correct pick.
• Monday Night Football point total is tiebreaker.
• There will be a weekly winner, and Final Grand Champion
• All disputes will be settled by the Pool Czar!
• We’ll change the rules if we have to. Employees will be paid appropriate homage, but win no prizes.
