Event Details

Shazia Mirza is a ridiculously funny award-winning British/Asian/Muslim stand up comedian who was called by “The Lenny Bruce of female stand-up” by The New York Times. Shazia has appeared on 60 Minutes, Last Comic Standing, Have I Got News for You (BBC), and has been featured in the New York Times.

Opening, Gay Filipino comedian Nico Santos and Indian-Jewish comedian, Samson Koletkar (Indian Jewish comedian)

About the show: Shazia will be doing an hour of stand up, where she will talk about her views on the world, based on her experiences of traveling all over the world to perform. Her topics include sex, religion, racism, America, how the world is obsessed with wanting her opinion on everything (thinking that being a Muslim woman, her view on everything from Bin Laden to baking cakes is going to vastly be different from everyone else’s)… to her mother’s desperation in wanting her to get married.
