Yoshi’s Free Jazz Lounge: Edo Castro Bass | SF

Edo Castro is a composer who happens to play bass. He also happens to be playing Yoshi’s SF on Valentine’s Day for free in the Lounge. 

Castro initially was a self-taught bassist but later moved to Chicago and attended The American Conservatory of Music in Chicago.

Returning to the Bay Area Edo released his first solo effort of original music entitled “Edo.” Edo’s 2nd release “Phoenix” made the 49th Grammy Entry List Field 10 Category 45 “Best Contemporary Jazz Album in October 2006.
