Why the Golden Gate Bridge Now Makes Strange Noises
Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know why the Golden Gate Bridge started making strange noises with the wind last Friday.
Many have heard the bizarre whistling sound and wondered what it was.
Golden Gate Bridge Sargent reported the eerie sound you’re hearing from the Golden Gate Bridge is in fact the result of new sidewalk railing slats, just installed, meant to better handle the wind.
While some like the sound, others are asking when it will be fixed.
SF311 replied via twitter that they are not sure what the plan is to fix the issue.

We can heat this in our house more than three miles away from the bridge. It’s crazy making.https://t.co/IM0UbEcZ1c
