One of the San Francisco’s oldest celebrations of heritage and the longest-running Italian-American parade in the nation returns October 10, 2021.

Thanks to The Chronicle for breaking the news it’s the first major parade to return to San Francisco since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

Serving as the Grand Marshall is Graziano Cerchiai, owner of the historic Bimbo’s 365 Club. The legendary nightclub is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.

The parade kicks off at 12:30 pm at Jefferson and Stockton streets in Fisherman’s Wharf and ends at Washington Square in North Beach.

Typically, there’s also the Italian Heritage Festival on the same weekend. On the their website, it lists the festival dates as October 9-10, but there’s no further details, nor is it mentioned on their Facebook page. The Chronicle also did not mention the festival information in its recent article.
