The U.S. Supreme Court ruled today that the 1964 Civil Rights Act barring sex discrimination in the workplace protects LGBTQ employees from being fired because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Tonight, as we celebrate this monumental decision, we will also demand justice and full equality for black and trans individuals, access to health care for all, and continue advocating for workers’ rights.

Please join the community in marking this historic victory in the long road to full equality under the law. We will gather in the Castro at Jane Warner Plaza from 6-8 pm tonight to celebrate this milestone, and to inspire each other to continue working toward full equality and social justice for all.

Confirmed Speakers:
Afrika America
Carolyn Wysinger
Sup. Rafael Mandelman
Honey Mahogany
Susan Stryker

ASL interpretation included.

Community gatherings like this are a challenge during this pandemic. If you attend, please wear a mask, practice social distancing, bring hand sanitizer and take all necessary precautions to protect your own health and the health of others. Thank you!

VOLUNTEERS: Interested in helping with safety tonight? Please meet at Jane Warner Plaza between 5:30 and 6 pm. Look for the individuals in orange vests. We’ll give you a brief safety orientation. Thanks in advance!
