2008_antiochThe city of Antioch hosts an all day Fourth of July festival with a parade, car show, live music, old fashioned kids games, and a roller derby demo. To cap the night off, there will be fireworks at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds.

2014 Antioch Fourth of July Celebration
Friday, July 4, 2014 | 11 am-10 pm
Downtown Antioch & Contra Costa Fairgrounds (10th & L Streets)

11 am – Parade (Downtown at 2nd Street)
For 2014 the 4th of July event will start with the parade at 11 am, starting at the dirt lot at 3rd and A streets, proceeding down 2nd street to I street, around City Hall to 3rd street, and back to the dirt lot.

11 am to 10 pmFourth of July Festival (Contra Costa Fairgrounds)
Entrance to the fairgrounds is free all day; parking is $5

  • Kid Zone with carnival type rides and inflatables all day
  • Old fashioned kids games like the three legged race, water balloon toss and egg races with lots of prizes
Entertainment on the main stage and a secondary community stage from 1 – 8 pm
  • Food, craft, beer & wine sales
Car show starting at 2 pm
  • Paradise Skate Rink open to public including a roller derby demo by the Undead Bettys
  • Spectacular fireworks display starting at approximately 9:15 pm

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Gospel – Zion’s Den ( Collaboration of Churches )
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Rock & Roll / Country – Rosemarie & The Rhythm Riders
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: VocalEase
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Jazz, R&B, Motown – Ricardo Scales w/ The Escovedo’s
