Noise Pop 2012: Free Concerts
What do Death Cab for Cutie, White Stripes and The Shins have in common?
They’ve all played at San Francisco’s Noise Pop Music Festival, now in its 20th year of blowing up bands that you might not have heard of yet, but could be huge in six months. So here’s your chance to see tomorrow’s big bands today in a tiny club in the Mission. Oh, and it’s totally free.
Any Bay Area music fan looks forward to the annual Noise Pop music festival – six days of curated indie rock shows at venues all over San Francisco. The lineups are great and the prices are perfectly “funcheap” with tickets starting around $10.
But what’s better than $10?
How about “FREE”!
Each night, Noise Pop kicks off their evening with a free happy hour concert series from 5pm to 8pm at the lovingly grimey Bender’s in the Mission. Most nights feature three hand-picked buzz bands and also drink specials like $2 PBRs and $3 Wells.
