Enjoy a classical music orchestra concert. “Faust Symphony” has beautiful melodies and exciting rhythms that display the emotions and personaities of its characters. Conductor Dr. Jason Klein talks about this music before it is performed to add concert pleasure.
Concert Program: “Faust Symphony” (1854-57) by Franz Liszt
Programmatic music that represents three characters:
- Faust: gloomy, passionate dreamer.
- Gretchen: gentle, beautiful maiden.
- Mephistopheles: diabolical devil, negative trickster.
The final movement of this music is ‘Chorus Mysticus” with a Male Chorus (Cal Arte Singers) and Tenor Soloist, singing tranquil and positive music with the orchestra.
