Submitted by the Event Organizer
The town of Port Costa is like a blast from the past that’s not to be missed in the Bay Area. Come on down to see the Fifth Annual Port Costa 4th of July Parade in downtown between the Warehouse Cafe and Bull Valley Roadhouse starting at 6 pm on July 4, 2014.
It goes up Canyon Lake Drive to the Historic Port Costa School where awards are presented for best overall float, best kid costume, best pet costume, best people-powered float and more.
It’s small town fun, so bring a chair and a good attitude. Afterwards, at around 9 pm, folks gather along the waterfront to watch Benicia and Martinez firework shows. Free parking is available at the school.
Please note, absolutely no fireworks are allowed in or around Port Costa due to the extremely high fire hazard.
