Local music fans are gearing up for warm weather and smooth sounds with the arrival of SFJazz Summerfest at the Stanford Shopping Center.

Dayna Stephens – August 2

Internationally renowned saxophonist/composer/educator Dayna Stephens is a force to watch out for. A fluid, vigorous soloist with a warm, soulful sound, Dayna has also proven himself a master of composition and arrangement, a highly acclaimed band leader and an “in-demand” side-man for some of Jazz’ contemporary masters, such as Kenny Barron, Idris Mohammed and Taylor Eigsti.

The ten-week concert series is hosted by Stanford Shopping Center and produced by SFJAZZ, a leading non-profit jazz organization on the West Coast .
