SFO’s New 3-story Mural for Harvey Milk is Coming
San Francisco International Airport is getting a brand new 3-story mural dedicated to Harvey Milk.
The SF Arts Commission just approved the proposal by artist Craig Calderwood that will celebrate the legacy of Harvey Milk.
It will be located in Terminal 1’s most trafficked intersection – the escalator atrium where passengers may access the AirTrain, Arrivals/Departures, and Baggage Claim/Ground Transportation.
SF Arts Commission notes that this is the artist’s first permanent public artwork, and “we are thrilled to commission a SF-based artist for this major opportunity”.
