2019 Albany Music in the Park | East Bay
Bring a picnic & a blanket with the whole family and friends. It’s Music in the Park time again. The 2019 concert series will be the 16th season of providing free concerts every Wednesday night in September.
The concerts have been funded by the local Target store since 2004. This year’s line-up will not disappoint-there is something for everyone.
2019 Music in the Park Schedule:
- September 4: KTO Project– Afro-Jazz-Funk Music Rooted in Zimbabwe
- September 11: Pop Fiction – Bay Area’s Top Cover band from Jackson 5 to Bruno Mars
- September 18: Steve Lucky and the Rhumba Bums – Vintage Rhythm And Blues, Swing & Boogie Woogie
- September 25: La Misa Negra – Heavyweight Cumbria and High-Energy, Afro-Latin Music
The SF Music Award-winning Albino! is a ten-piece Afrobeat ensemble that honors the fiery legacy of Nigerian musical revolutionary Fela Kuti. Albino’s high-energy grooves and explosive stage show thick with hypnotic percussion, a heavy horn section, African dance, outrageous costumes, and infectious group choreography have established the band as the West Coast’s premier Afrobeat act.
