The Frankenart Mart is a quirky shoebox-sized art gallery in the Inner Richmond. Not only do they have curious one-of-a-kind interactive art exhibits, but once a month there’s free hot dogs all day.
Hot Dogs in Space? We gotta be honest, we have no idea what kind of strange and f’d up art show is taking place at the Frankenart Mart to lead them to call this “Hot Dog Day In Space.” The theme of their current show is “Space Station” and on their website they’re calling for aliens to skype them, providing you with space gear for dangerous missions outside the gallery and giving free astrology readings from an out-of-this-world astrologist.
About Hot Dog Day: Every month, Frankenart Mart gives away free beef and veggie dogs to all visitors who want one. There’s a bit of a rivalry going on between the two – scorewise. Though veggie has come very close, beef has historically won out.
