Come celebrate Midpen’s 50th Anniversary of public open space preservation, protection, restoration, access and education. This free-admission family festival at Ravenswood Preserve and Cooley Landing of East Palo Alto is fun for nature lovers of all ages. Explore the Bay Trail through a Discovery Journey walk and scavenger hunt stopping along the route to talk with naturalists at educational stations.
Event entertainment and activities include:
Insect Discovery lab by SaveNature
Demonstrations from Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center
Midpen ranger remarks: “Hats of the Ranger”
Face-painting
Bay Area artist and environmental activist Linda Gass
Musical Entertainment by West African percussionists, local youth artists and more
Folklorico dance performance
Local Food Trucks and Popsicle Carts
Free parking will be available at Ravenswood Family Health Center (1885 Bay Rd, East Palo Alto, CA 94303) and EPACENTER (2480 Pulgas Ave, East Palo Alto, CA 94303). Complimentary shuttle service will take guests to Cooley Landing.
