SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2026

The 2026 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026 with Hermán Olivera y Orquesta Taíno to kick off its 26th season. The Festival features over 100 free performances from May to November in Downtown San Francisco.

The annual Jenny Lind Concert is a beloved and long-running Yerba Buena Gardens Festival tradition that showcases the most extraordinary young sopranos from Sweden. This year’s program introduces Tessan-Maria Lehmussaari, the 2020 recipient of the Jenny Lind Stipendium, an honor now presented by the Swedish Royal Academy of Music and Folkets Hus & Parker. The Finnish/Swedish vocalist has worked with Drottningholm’s Baroque Orchestra, the Royal Swedish Opera’s Young Opera, and Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, among others. She is accompanied by multi-talented Finnish-born pianist Silja Inkeri Levander. Presented with the Honorary Consulate of Sweden. the Jenny Lind Concert offers a thrilling peek at the future of opera.
