Seats from San Francisco’s Castro Theatre Are Now Up for Grabs

The Castro Theatre is getting a controversial makeover to transform into a live entertainment venue. To complete the transformation, 800 of the fixed orchestra floor seats are being removed much to dismay of many. Now, the new owners of the Castro Theatre, Another Planet Entertainment say, well, if you love the seats so much, why don’t you take them? Yep! Now, you can buy one of these iconic orchestra seats.
Castro Theatre seats are sold as single units for $349 or in pairs for $499. Both options are attached to a wooden board. The proceeds will go toward the theater’s nonprofit partners, Castro Organ Devotees Association (CODA) and Oasis Arts. Seats can be picked up at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium from May 20th to May 24th or delivered within 60 miles of the Castro Theatre.
