Devon Blood: The Left Hand Path
An Inspiring Art Show Opening November 7th at 5 Olive Gallery, San Francisco

San Francisco, CA  Renowned tattoo artist and visionary painter Devon Blood invites art and tattoo enthusiasts to explore his latest exhibition, “The Left Hand Path.” This thought-provoking show opens on November 7th at the 5 Olive Gallery, located in the heart of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.

Growing up in the Bay Area, Devon was immersed in a rich culture of skateboarding and tattoo art from an early age. The skate scene nurtured his creative spirit and provided a sense of freedom and rebellion that would heavily influence his artistic expression. Devon’s passion for skating also instilled in him a deep appreciation for the intricacies of movement and style, elements that resonate throughout his visual work.

Devon’s journey as an artist took an unexpected turn in 2006 when he was shot in the head during a break-in at his girlfriend’s home. This traumatic incident left him with limited mobility in his right hand. However, rather than allowing this significant challenge to derail his creativity, Devon adapted by learning to tattoo and paint with his left hand.

“The Left Hand Path” showcases a collection of striking paintings executed on black velvet. In addition to exploring themes of darkness, monsters, and beasts, Devon incorporates a playful sense of humor into his work. Many of his pieces feature charaterized portraits of celebrities, rendered in a style that is both bold and fun.

Join us for the opening reception on November 7th from 6-10PM, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet Devon Blood, view his latest works, and participate in an engaging discussion about overcoming obstacles through creativity.
