Squirmiculture is a workshop to help build community grounded in composting. We will reimagine what decomposition means in an urban ecosystem covering topics ranging from vermiculture to soil microbiology with an intention of creating the conditions conducive to growth.
This workshop will help folks relate to how hyperlocal carbon cycles ground global challenges in our shared convergent communities in a meaningful way. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how they can leverage basic biochemistry to their own advantage at home for the greater good of all. We will empower people to use worms and wood to transform trash into treasure.
Guests will leave with practical knowledge to start their own at-home worm compost, including a bucket, soil, and worms!
