Halloween is saved! George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, presented on real celluloid, just as it was in 1968. This is the original, uncensored 96-minute cut, shown ON FILM.

From October 13th–31st, a rare chance to see Night of the Living Dead (1968) as it was meant to be seen, on film.

Just as terrifying now as it was then. Beautiful quality film projection. Experienced operators of a dying craft. Screening includes a pre-show of horror/halloween shorts including but not limited to Addams Family episodes, Classic Monster digests, Horror film trailers, tv previews, halloween safety films AND MORE.

@robvertigo has been astounding the East Bay and beyond with his classic haunted house style corridors and mazes for years. His last outing at Mosswood Meltdown’s Halloween edition blew everyone away and this will be no exception.

Anyone can splatter some blood on a sheet and call it a haunt but we’ve got something very special here. Not to be missed!

Shaker Theater is the East Bay’s newest underground pop-up cinema, dedicated to real-deal celluloid film projection. For our maiden voyage, we’re kicking things off with George Romero’s legendary Night of the Living Dead presented in a stunning original 16mm print, just as it was seen in 1968.

We’ve transformed a cozy warehouse space in North Oakland near Emeryville into a full Halloween experience, complete with a twisting haunted entrance by East Bay haunt maestro Rob Vertigo. And it’s not just the feature our all-film pre-show changes nightly, pulling from deep archives of rare and bizarre material.
