SFMOMA has announced a major new exhibition coming in fall 2026. RM of BTS, the global K-pop supergroup known for hits like Dynamite and Butter, is opening his personal art collection to the public for the first time, and San Francisco will be the first city to showcase it.

RM x SFMOMA runs from October 2026 through February 2027 and features around 200 works, including modern Korean pieces never before publicly exhibited, alongside selections from SFMOMA’s collection.

Curated by RM with SFMOMA’s América Castillo and Hyoeun Kim, the show highlights modern and contemporary artists from Korea and around the world. Featured artists include Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, Kim Yun Shin, Chang Ucchin, along with SFMOMA pieces by Mark Rothko, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, Paul Klee, and Kim Whanki.

This is the first museum exhibition built around RM’s personal collection and the first time his collection will be shown publicly at this scale.
