Startup Art Fair, the original artist-first hotel takeover fair, proudly announces the return of Startup San Francisco 2026. This boutique, multi-room gallery experience transforms the Hotel del Sol into an immersive art fair where every door opens to discovery and every conversation leads to connection. Scheduled during the spring art-festival window, Startup SF offers an intimate alternative to the traditional art fair model, reflecting San Francisco’s identity as an incubator of misfits, innovators, and cultural rebels.
The April 17-19, 2026 weekend event will feature:
70+ independent artists exhibiting across two floors of Hotel Del Sol
Live installations, performances, and special room-crafted projects
A Friday Night Celebration open to all fairgoers
VIP and Collector events designed for long-lead media storytelling
Two upcoming artist webinars offering prep tips, promotion strategy, and networking insights
“Startup has always been about direct connection…no massive convention centers, no velvet ropes, no gallery gatekeeping,” says founder Ray Beldner. “It’s art at human scale…raw, real, room-by-room.”
Founded in 2015, Startup Art Fair supports unrepresented and self-represented artists through direct-to-collector exposure and has been hosted in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, and Chicago, earning national recognition for its boutique scale, high quality, and community-driven ethos.
