Event Details

We’ll be pausing Buñuel’s surrealist nun dramedy Viridiana, to draw striking frames. The drawing session will be followed by light refreshments and a chance to celebrate the three year anniversary of the program.

Basic materials (pencils, paper, erasers) will be provided. You may bring your own materials, but please no fume-creating paint or paint pens. Watercolor, ink and gouache are fine.

This is a self-led event; there will be no instruction or feedback. However, there will be an opportunity at the end of the session to look at others’ drawings and show your own.

NR, 91 mins., 1961. Subtitles and Closed Captions in English. Due to pauses for drawing, the full film will not be shown.

Find Drawing From Film at the Main Library, on the Lower Level, in the Latino/Hispanic Meeting Room.
