San Francisco’s run of big, free outdoor concerts is not slowing down. The next major waterfront party has just been announced, bringing another afternoon of live music to the heart of downtown.

A massive free concert is coming to Embarcadero Plazåa on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 1 pm to 5 pm, celebrating the 30th anniversary of local dance music label Om Records. The event is produced by Another Planet Entertainment in partnership with San Francisco Recreation and Parks, the same team behind many of the city’s recent large scale civic concerts.

The lineup has not been announced yet, but the label’s deep roots in San Francisco’s house music scene suggest a strong mix of DJs and electronic artists. Om Records was founded in the mid 1990s and has released hundreds of records over the years, helping shape the city’s dance music culture.

This concert is part of a broader push to bring more free music and public events to downtown and waterfront spaces. The city has leaned into these gatherings as a way to activate public plazas and create reasons for locals to spend time in the area.

Hat tip to SF Gate for the early details.
