Event Details

On Saturday, June 27 from 12-5pm, the Creative Youth Celebration will transform Yerba Buena Center for the Arts into a one-day-only, multidisciplinary showcase featuring hundreds of works by award-winning high school artists – spanning film, music, writing, photography, and visual art.

Free and open to the public, the event includes live performances, installations, and speakers, offering an opportunity to experience emerging voices from across the Bay Area in a dynamic, accessible setting. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore YBCA’s current exhibition, Conjuring Power: Roots & Futures of Queer & Trans Movements, at no charge.

The featured artists are 2026 Creative Youth Awardees, selected from more than 2,000 submissions across all nine Bay Area counties by a panel of 40 professional arts leaders – including Emmy-winning choreographers, Sundance-recognized filmmakers, and acclaimed authors.

This year’s keynote speaker is Ruby Ibarra, NPR Tiny Desk Contest winner and nationally touring artist.

Taking place on the Saturday of SF Pride Weekend, the event invites both locals and visitors to engage with the creativity, expression, and perspectives shaping the Bay Area’s future.
