Cara Tramontano hosts the free Monday Happy Hour Comedy on the 2nd Monday of every month at Cafe Royale in the Trendynob.October 11th features one of our favorite local comedian, W. Kamau Bell (Punchline, Montreal Comedy Festival) and whole host of comedians to will make you fold a buck or two to put in the tip jar.

In 2005, W. Kamau Bell told the first Barack Obama joke on Comedy Central, which is now listed in their “100 Best Obama Moments.” Kamau was the SF Weekly’s 2008 “Comedian of the Year” and was later profiled in a 2009 cover story. Kamau is a headliner at the SF Punchline, has performed in the Montreal Comedy Festival and Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. His one-man show “W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour” was featured at the 2009 NY Intl Fringe Festival.
Janine Brito started doing standup comedy in St. Louis and has performed at clubs and theaters throughout the US and Hong Kong. Now a rising star on the San Francisco scene, she is a regular at the Punchline, winner of the 2009 SF Women’s Comedy Competition, recipient of Rooftop Comedy’s 2010 Silver Nail Award, and opener for the Laughter Against The Machine Comedy Tour.
Dave Karraker can be seen performing his unique blend of gay situational comedy and sardonic humor all over California. A finalist in the 2009 San Francisco Walk the Plank Comedy Competition, Dave has performed in comedy showcases at such venues as San Francisco Punch Line, Purple Onion, Wells Fargo Center for the Performing Arts, Rooster T. Feathers, Wharf Room Comedy, San Francisco Comedy Clubhouse, and many more. As an actor, he has appeared in such programs as Showtime’s “Red Shoe Diaries” and the Jenny Jones Show and can even be spotted in Michael Moore’s Bowling for Columbine.
Casey Ley is a stand up comic in San Francisco and has performed at the Hollywood Improv, Cobb’s Comedy Club and the SF Punchline. He’s also a radio talk show host on The Morning Show with Casey and the Notorious B.A.G. 87.9 FM in the Bay Area and LA 8am-12pm every Friday morning.
Red Scott won the 2010 Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition. He is a regular performer at the San Francisco Punchline and Wharf Room Comedy, a paid host at Rooster T. Feathers, and finished top 3 in the 2009 Walk the Plank Comedy Competition.
