The UC Berkeley campus and community will gather to honor Nelson Mandela from 3-5 pm on Sproul Plaza on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

The ceremony will include music by Kev Choice, Rico Pabon, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir and more.

Reflections will be shared by campus and community leaders including ASUC President DeeJay Pepito, Chancellor Nicholas Dirks, State Assemblymember Nancy Skinner, State Assembly Speaker John Perez, and Pastor Michael McBride.

The event will end with a candlelight vigil.
